Despite our late night on Wednesday, we were ready to go fairly early Thursday morning. This is when we had our tarantula encounter. DH went to pick up my life vest off the porch and our friendly critter was resting underneath it. The children thought he was the neatest thing! DH swept him into the bushes and we didn't see him again.
Ok, about time to wrap this up... Friday (between boat rental days) we spent the morning swimming and snorkeling and then went out to Cocoplum Beach in the afternoon to find sand dollars. Cocoplum Beach has a gorgeous sandbar that is around a mile long at low tide. We collected at least a fifty (dead) sand dollars, though only 15 or so survived unscathed in our luggage.
Sunday morning we packed and swam a bit and then went to St. Theresa's Catholic church for a Communion Service. We got to the airport with plenty of time to catch our 1:30 flight. Despite our delay in Atlanta, we still got back to Nashville in time for the children to get ready for their first day of school the next day.
We had a great time - please let me know if you have any questions!
