How does this work? You can purchase special park tickets that allow your student (and a guardian if the child is under 12) to attend the Homeschool Day program. You can combine the homeschool program with other "Disney Youth Education Series - Independent Enrollment Option" programs and cover a couple of different subjects. The programs are very well done and the reduced ticket prices for the entire family are a nice perk.
Is this a good option for your family? The Oct. 9th date is a fairly non-busy time for Disney World. Sept. is even better, so if you really value low crowds, you may want to visit another time. Also, the ticket prices are not nearly as good as in years past (Disney seems to have figured out that some people were enrolling in the programs simply to get the cheap tickets) and as the time period coincides with fall break for many schools, there are probably not going to be any discount offers for the period (for example, most of September is included in a free dining offer). So, enroll in the homeschool days program if the topic really appeals to you, but consider visiting Disney at another time if you'd prefer an excellent value or lower crowds.
